Grimmius Hands Educational Support Program Empowering Uganda’s Disadvantaged Children
The Challenge
Uganda’s education system faces critical challenges:
- Teacher Shortages & Overcrowding: High teacher-student ratios reduce the quality of education.
- Inadequate Resources: Schools lack textbooks, learning aids, and technology.
- Poor Infrastructure: Rural schools often have makeshift classrooms.
- Sanitation Issues: Inadequate latrines affect student hygiene and comfort.
- High Dropout Rates: Overcrowding and poor learning conditions force many children to leave school early.
Grimmius Hands partners with local schools to provide marginalized children with free, high-quality education, focusing on:
- Core Academics & Life Skills: Literacy, leadership, and financial literacy.
- STEM & Arts Education: Prepares students for the future job market and promotes creativity.
- Character Development: Fosters resilience and ethical values.
